Workplace wellness is getting lots of attention these days. This is because we all know that healthier employees equal higher productivity (and lower health care costs for both the employer and employees). However, workplace wellness stretches beyond just healthy eating and physical activity. Healthy lungs are a key component of a healthy employee. Not only is cigarette smoke dangerous – chemicals and allergens are also potential causes of lung disease. When an employer takes the step to make the workplace lung-friendly, they’re taking an even bigger step toward a healthy, happy environment.
