Nearly 200 communities applied for this prestigious national prize and 10 finalists remain. See how the small town of Eatonville is winning BIG recognition from the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation for improving community health.

Local student artwork encourages pedestrians, cyclists and drivers to be safe.

Using Walk Safe, a curriculum developed by the University of Miami, students learn how to walk safely to school, the bus stop, a friend’s house, the library and throughout the community. Walk Safe encourages students to draw what they’ve learned, awarding winning posters from grade levels K/1, 2/3 and 4/5.
